The Strictly Hip are a Buffalo, NY-based tribute band dedicated to celebrating the music and legacy of The Tragically Hip. Originally conceived in 1995 in St. Catharines, Ontario, the group has spent decades bringing the songs of Canada’s beloved rock icons to life with reverence, precision, and genuine passion.

More than a traditional tribute act, The Strictly Hip take an almost academic approach to recreating The Tragically Hip’s catalog, honoring the details, emotion, and spirit that made the band’s music so deeply loved. Their performances are built for lifelong fans—full of singalongs, nostalgia, road-trip memories, and the kind of communal energy that turns a concert into a celebration.

With thousands of performances and a loyal following of their own, The Strictly Hip regularly perform across the United States and Canada, carrying The Tragically Hip’s music to sold-out rooms, festivals, and devoted fans who continue to keep the songs alive.
